Rice Lake’s Location
Although Rice Lake sits about an hour north of Eau Claire, it’s still a town that is easily accessible thanks to so many major roadways running in or around the community. Highway 48, which eventually turns into Knapp Street, runs directly into downtown Rice Lake, while as mentioned above, Highway 53 shoots right up alongside the city’s western border.

Outside of just having a beautiful lake close to downtown, Rice Lake also features a number of additional attractions for residents to enjoy, which helps to continue to make it a popular destination spot for Western Wisconsin home buyers to consider. The Barron County Fairgrounds are located in Rice Lake, and you’ll even find a 4-star rated golf course in town as well, which is pretty rare for a community that still has a population of under 10,000 people. But because Rice Lake is still much larger than most of its neighboring communities, housing in the area presents a wide range of opportunities, regardless of whether you're searching for a seasonal home or sometime to call home all year long. Smaller starter homes that could use some updating routinely list for under $100,000 in Rice Lake, while buyers can reasonably expect some of the city’s most expensive listings to top out somewhere close to $700,000.
